Update.

Just came back with provisions for the trip. I was at UIW yesterday. It seems that the San Antonio Business Journal wants to do a piece on the ICT project. I am going to UIW tomorrow to work with the software side of things. Friday will be the SABJ’s opportunity to see the system in action. It should be fun. Again, thanks goes out to William Schaub for all of his help.

This week will be spent reading all of the documentation and information given to be by both the Genesi team and Dr. Ettling. As time for my departure draws near, this trip is beginning to feel like reality. I will admit, there are a few times where I have felt a heaviness in my heart; however, I know that I do have the full support of my family. While I will miss them dearly, I know that we will all be better for this. It is time to do for others. I am fortunate to be here in this position.

Things to do before July 17

Tanzanian Visa came in last week. Now most things are in order. I still have to do research for my Review of Literature and formally develop my educational goals. These must be submitted to both Dr. St. Clair and
Sister Ettling. While doing so, I need to set up a plan of action for the documentation of cultural and linguistic artifacts for the portfolio due in April.
